UniHamper Ad Challenge

Make the ad. Get seen. Get credit.

No agency. No brief written by a marketing team that's never done your laundry. Just you, your campus, and whatever format makes people actually stop scrolling.

#UniHamperChallenge Open Aug 15 → Dec 31, 2026 Any campus Any format Multiple entries welcome

What this is

Laundry apps don't usually have good ads.

We want to fix that, campus by campus — and we can't do it alone.

Make an ad for UniHamper. Any format. Post it, submit it here, and let other students weigh in. The strongest ones get used as real UniHamper marketing, with your name on them.

The deal, in one line You make something good. We run it, credit you, and tell you exactly what we thought of it either way. Every entry gets community comments and a note from our team — what worked, what didn't, and why.
What you get

Your work, on a real product, with your name attached.

No spec-ad graveyard. Winning entries actually run.

Your work, actually used

Winning ads run on UniHamper's official Instagram and TikTok and on campus channels — credited to you, not repurposed anonymously.

Portfolio material

"This ran as real marketing for a live company" is a stronger line than another spec-ad mockup — whether you're heading into design, marketing, or content.

Ambassador commission boost

Already a Campus Ambassador? A winning submission bumps your commission rate. Not one yet? A strong ad is a good way to get invited in.

Real feedback, not a black box

Every submission gets community comments and a note from our team. You'll know what landed and what didn't — even if you don't win.

There's no cash prize. This is about getting your work in front of people, on a real product, with your name attached — not a giveaway.

Who can enter

Any student. Any campus. Any major.

No experience required

You don't need a design portfolio or a marketing background. You need to know what would make someone at your school actually pay attention.

Enter as many times as you like

Multiple submissions are accepted. Reworks and resubmissions are welcome if the feedback gives you something to build on.

You don't have to post it publicly

Rather not put it on your own account first? Upload it to Google Drive and share it with us instead — same entry, same shot at running.

Formats we accept

Whatever fits your campus and your skills.

Pick the format you're actually good at — we're judging the idea, not the render.

  • 01Instagram Reel or TikTok
  • 02Static graphic or poster
  • 03Meme
  • 04Short video, under 60 seconds
  • 05Flyer designed for physical posting — dorms, laundry rooms, bulletin boards

Got a format that isn't on this list and you think it works? Ask us — we're not precious about the list.

How it works

Six steps, start to finish.

From "I have an idea" to "that's my ad on their account."

01

Make your ad

Any format, any length, any tone. Keep it honest — see the ground rules below.

02

Post it publicly

On your own account, tagged #UniHamperChallenge. Or, if you'd rather not post it yourself first, upload it to Google Drive and share it to universityhamper@gmail.com.

03

Submit it here

Send us the link or the file using the form below so it's officially entered. Nothing counts until it's submitted.

04

Review window — 4 weeks

Your ad gets four weeks of review from the day you submit it, so entering early means more eyes on it. Other students can view, comment, and react. If you're reviewing someone else's work, leave actual feedback rather than just a reaction — that's part of what makes this useful to everyone, including you.

05

Judging

Community engagement counts, but it isn't the whole decision. Our team picks the final winners per campus, weighing creativity, clarity, and whether it would actually work on your campus over pure vote count.

06

Results

Winners announced per campus, plus a small number featured across every campus we're on. Entries close December 31, 2026.

Ground rules

Keep this part boring so the fun part doesn't get shut down.

Five rules. None of them are about your creative choices.

No fake claims

Don't invent pricing, guarantees, or features UniHamper doesn't have. Not sure what's accurate? Ask before you post — we'd rather answer than take something down.

No impersonation

Don't present yourself as a laundromat, a partner, or UniHamper staff.

Keep it campus-appropriate

Funny and irreverent is welcome. Anything that would get flagged by your own school's code of conduct won't be used.

You keep authorship. We get a licence

By submitting, you give UniHamper the right to repost, edit lightly — cropping, captions, adding a logo — and run your ad on official channels, with credit to you. You're not signing away ownership, and you can still post it anywhere else you want.

One campus, one voice at a time

If several students from the same school submit near-identical concepts, we'll reach out to sort out credit before anything goes live.

Submit your entry

Send it in.

Open from August 15 to December 31, 2026. This form is what makes it an official entry — it lands in our inbox and we reply to a real address.

Before you hit send, make sure you've got:

  • Your name and school at the end of your video or on the graphic itself.
  • A link to your posted ad, or the file shared to universityhamper@gmail.com.
  • One line on the idea — what you were going for, and why you think it lands with your campus.
Leave this blank only if you've shared the file to universityhamper@gmail.com — tell us in the box below so we can match it up.
A sentence or two is plenty. If you sent the file by Drive instead of a link, say so here.
We only use your details to run the challenge and reply to you.

Prefer email? Send it to universityhamper@gmail.com — but the form is what officially enters you.

Still thinking about the idea?

Make it anyway. The worst outcome is honest feedback from people who run this thing for a living.

Questions before you submit? Comment on the launch post, DM us, or use the contact form — we're happy to look at a rough cut and give you a read on it early.
